The roots of Katherine Alexander Fine Jewelry began with Alexander and Lehnert Fine Jewelry‍ ‍

Husband and wife duo Bill Lehnert and Michele Alexander started the gallery over 18 years ago. After years of traveling the US doing craft shows, they decided to settle down in a brick and mortar in the historic Grove Arcade. Over the years Bill and Michele have gained a loyal following from locals and tourists alike.   They are each respected for their individual accomplishments in the jewelry field as well as together with the storefront.   Combined they have over 70 years of jewelry and gemstone industry experience and are renowned in the Southeast as a premier gemstone location.

A Time of Transition

At the beginning of 2026 we began transitioning from one husband and wife team to another.

Katie (Katherine) Simonetti and her husband Alex (Alexander) Tolini run Katherine Alexander Fine Jewelry. It is a collaboration and labor of love. Katie is the designer, bench jeweler and founder and Alex makes sure things run smoothly.

All of the fine handcrafted goods found at KAFJ are made by artists that are passionate about their craft.

We believe in treating everyone that walks through our doors like friends- with a warm greeting and a smile.  We treat people fairly and honestly, with kindness, dignity and respect.
